MTC Federal Receives Proclamation from the City of Mauldin

August 19, 2026, Mauldin, SC — MTC Federal Credit Union is proud to announce that it was honored by the City of Mauldin with an official proclamation recognizing the credit union's 50 years of service to its members and the communities it serves.

The proclamation was presented by Mayor Terry Merritt during the Mauldin City Council meeting on August 17, 2026, in recognition of MTC Federal's five decades of commitment to financial well-being, community involvement, and service.

President & CEO Kimberly Witt accepted the proclamation on behalf of MTC Federal Credit Union, accompanied by Sonia McAbee, VP of Business Development, whose longstanding dedication to the Mauldin community has helped strengthen the credit union's local impact. In addition to her role at MTC Federal, McAbee serves as a Mauldin Chamber of Commerce Ambassador and has spent years supporting local businesses, organizations, and community initiatives throughout the city.

With its headquarters and two branch locations in Mauldin, MTC Federal has maintained deep roots in the community since its founding in 1976. Over the past 50 years, the credit union has grown from serving employees in the manufacturing industry to supporting members across multiple states while remaining committed to its founding principle of working hard for hardworking people.
