Press Release: Rebuild Upstate, September Donation Recipient

September, 1st 2026 - Greenville, SC – As MTC Federal Credit Union continues celebrating its 50th anniversary through a year of community giving, the credit union has selected Rebuild Upstate as its September recipient of the $50K for 50 Years Community Giveback, continuing a partnership between the two organizations focused on helping local families and strengthening communities across the Upstate.
MTC Federal will donate $4,000 to Rebuild Upstate and encourage members and the community to help extend the impact. The credit union has pledged to match additional donations up to $2,000, creating the potential for $8,000 in total support.
Rebuild Upstate provides critical home repairs to help homeowners in need remain safely and independently in their homes. The organization previously partnered with MTC Federal through its 2025 Lift Up Local community initiative, making this year's selection an opportunity to build on an already meaningful relationship.
"Our 50th anniversary is really about celebrating the people and communities that have made MTC Federal what it is today," said Kimberly Witt, President & CEO of MTC Federal. "Rebuild Upstate is doing work that makes a lasting difference for families right here in our community. For Rebuild Upstate, the continued support represents more than a second year of partnership.

The $50K for 50 Years Community Giveback is a yearlong initiative celebrating MTC Federal's 50th anniversary by investing in nonprofit organizations making a difference throughout the communities the credit union serves. Each month, MTC Federal is highlighting a local organization with a $4,000 contribution and an opportunity for the community to help increase that impact through an additional matching donation of up to $2,000.
The initiative reflects the same people-first philosophy that has guided MTC Federal since seven employees came together to establish the credit union in 1976: Working Hard for Hardworking People.
