Sonia McAbee Named to SCBIZ 2026 Top 100 Women in South Carolina
Greenville, SC — MTC Federal Credit Union is proud to announce Sonia McAbee, Vice President of Business Development, has been named to the SCBIZ 2026 Top 100 Women in South Carolina, an honor recognizing high-achieving women who demonstrate leadership, professional excellence, community service, and mentorship.
McAbee’s recognition reflects her ongoing efforts to strengthen relationships across the Upstate and champion financial wellness initiatives that support local businesses, employees, and families. In her role at MTC Federal, she leads strategic partnerships with employers and community organizations, helping expand access to financial education and resources that empower individuals to improve their financial well-being.
“Sonia embodies the very best of our organization,” said Bill Love, President/CEO of MTC Federal. “Her passion for serving others, her ability to build meaningful partnerships across our community, and her commitment to helping hardworking people improve their financial futures make her an extraordinary leader. This recognition is well deserved and a reflection of the positive impact she continues to make throughout the Upstate.”
McAbee has been instrumental in advancing MTC Federal’s Money Matters Financial Wellness program, working with employers and community partners to provide financial education and guidance that helps individuals reduce financial stress, improve credit, and build stronger financial foundations.
The SCBIZ Top 100 Women recognition adds to a growing list of honors for McAbee’s leadership and community engagement. Earlier this year, she was named Ambassador of the Year by the Mauldin Chamber of Commerce, and in 2025 she was recognized by SCBIZ as one of the region’s most influential business leaders.
SCBIZ’s Top 100 Women honors women across South Carolina who are making a meaningful impact through professional leadership, community involvement, and mentorship. Honorees are selected through a competitive nomination and judging process recognizing their contributions to both their organizations and the communities they serve.
For McAbee, the recognition reflects the broader mission that drives her work.
“Supporting the people and businesses in our community is something I care deeply about,” said McAbee. “At MTC Federal, we believe financial institutions should do more than provide services—we should help people build stronger futures. I’m grateful to be part of an organization that shares that commitment.”
